Photo diagnosis helper
Send a photo of a sick plant or a misbehaving setup and get a first-pass diagnosis. A human checks it before you rely on it.
Sketch of the plan, not a photo. Not built yet.
What it is
A simple web page: upload a photo, add a sentence about what is wrong, get back a short list of likely causes and what to check next.
It is a first pass, not a verdict. Every answer is reviewed by a human before it is treated as advice.
Why build it
“What is wrong with this?” is the most common question in any build. A structured first look saves time, as long as it is honest about being a guess.
It is also a test of whether software can be useful on a poor connection, which matters for the second yard.
The plan, step by step
This is the plan as it stands. Steps get rewritten as the build teaches us things.
- 01
Collect real questions first
Gather the kinds of photos and problems that actually come up, before writing any code.
- 02
Define what a good answer looks like
Likely causes, how sure it is, what to check next. Always with “a human checks this”.
- 03
Build the smallest version
One upload form, one answer page, and a review queue for the human.
- 04
Decide what happens to photos
What is stored, for how long, and how it is deleted. Written down before the first upload.
- 05
Test it on known cases
Check its answers against problems where the cause is already known.
