About Nerdsquatch
A big-footed, safety-glasses-wearing sasquatch who lives in a garage lab and gets overexcited about specs.
The character
Nerdsquatch is the host. Deep voice. Warm. A big hairy genius with strong opinions about connectors.
Two problems follow him everywhere. Giant hands versus tiny SMD parts. Fur versus ESD. He wears safety glasses, and he would like you to wear yours.
He does not do the work. A human’s hands do the work. Nerdsquatch narrates, asks the awkward question, and runs QA.
The lab
The lab is a garage in Southern California. It is still being set up. The plan: a bench for electronics, a corner for printing, and the yard right outside.
The yard is the point. A build is not finished until it has been outside. For outdoor builds, there is a second test yard in Ghana, and the same build goes there too.
The umbrella
Nerdsquatch is one of three maker channels under F&F Labz. The other two are Mortise & Motor, for woodworking, and Crash Test Whoop, for tiny drones.
They share a lab and a habit of writing things down.
The rules
Hands only. No faces, no names, no family, no house. You see hands, tools and hardware.
No made-up results. A plan is called a plan. A number is only published after it has been measured.
No stock photos and no fake build photos. Until real photos exist, the site uses drawings.
Parts and tools are only recommended after they have been used on a build. Affiliate links are marked.
