Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this page are affiliate links, including Amazon links: if you buy through them the lab may earn a small referral fee, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Nothing is listed here until it has been used on a build.

Status: Draft. Not yet in effect.

Some links on this site, mostly on the parts and tools page and in field notes, may be affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, the store may pay the lab a small referral fee. The price you pay is the same.
Affiliate links are marked on the page, open in a new tab, and carry rel="sponsored" so search engines know what they are.
Right now the parts and tools page lists categories only. Its links go to the Amazon home page and carry no tracking ID, so nothing is earned from them. When a link starts earning a referral fee it will be marked, and it never changes the price you pay.
Links that go through /go/ are counted so we can see which recommendations are useful: the time, the page you came from (without its query string) and a country code. No IP address or personal profile is stored.
No brand pays to be listed, and referral fees don’t decide what gets recommended. A product is only recommended after it has been used on a build. If that ever changes for a specific post (for example a sponsored review), the post will say so at the top.
